Shipment to the Mishkeegogamang Ojibway Nation Being Loaded
We at the SWO Gleaners are so incredibly proud to be working with Paul Burston and his team from Hillside Community Church (Tottenham, Ontario) to bring hunger relief to the Mishkeegogamang Ojibway Nation residents. The community of nearly 1,000 is located 500 kilometres northwest of Thunder Bay. For the last 10 years, because of the community's low levels of livability. Paul and other volunteers have been delivering truckloads of donated essential goods to the community as well as providing summer programming to the youths of the community. Very recently, Paul reached out to the SWO Gleaners - hoping we could provide dehydrated soup mix for their upcoming mission trip to Mishkeegagamang. We were only too happy to help! Just today, we loaded up Paul's truck with 250 boxes of soup mix (150,000 servings)!! None of this would be possible without the help of our volunteers, financial supporters and produce donors. Together - we are making a difference!
